But you recently read a book, saw a movie, attended a lecture or had an interesting conversation about a social issue and now you’re inspired. You want to find out more and get involved, but you don’t know where to start. You probably have a couple of jobs to pay off those huge loans and the last thing you want to do is spend your limited spare time doing even more research to find out how and where to donate your time and skills. There’s gotta be an easier way to work for free.

There is. Whether you’re looking for more information, need help with a problem or want to find out a way to contribute to a cause of your choice, this is the place to start. We provide topic-based lists of social and environmental issues so you can pick and choose to narrow down your search. Once you’ve done that, we’ll provide you with a list of organizations that are already in existence right here in Vancouver to champion your favourite causes, whether mainstream or obscure, local or global. We even tell you how their volunteer programs work so you’ll know if they’ll fit into your busy schedule BEFORE you go running around town looking for them.
